Basic Definition:
What is Architectural lines in virtual production?
Design indications within a set plan or digital asset which indicate perspective. When combined with parallax on an LED volume, helps to create the illusion of depth.
In 3D world-building, architectural lines refer to the straight and curved paths that form shapes within a given space. These lines create the foundation upon which a structure is built upon. They can be used to represent walls, windows, doors, stairs, railings, columns, and more.
Architectural lines give an object shape and dimension as well as provide direction for how it will look and function. For example, in a house design, you would use architectural lines to outline where the walls will go, what size and shape the windows should be, and how many rooms there will be. These lines work together to build a complete image of the final product.
